We offer a kindergarten program within our long day care setting.
Childhood is a vital period in your child’s learning development. 90% of your child’s brain has developed by the time they reach 5 years of age.
The pre-school years form a pivotal stage in your child’s learning.
Our educators, understand the significance of this journey and develop programs that follow the principles of the “Early Years Learning Framework”, that encompass the 5 learning outcomes:
Kindergarten Program
Our kindergarten teachers provide a play-based learning program that encourages children’s evolving ideas and interests, ensuring the development of well-rounded, social, happy people with a strong sense of self.
Through play, children discover and explore the world around them, it is the educator’s task to encourage their independence, curiosity, problem solving skills and the confidence to transition successfully into the school environment.
We nurture each child to their full potential, through engagement in play experiences that support and encourage all areas of growth and development. Children begin to see themselves as competent, capable and independent when provided with continuous opportunities to participate in self-initiated play which acknowledge their strengths.
Local Community
At Up ‘N’ Grow we believe that the local community plays a pivotal role in our pre-schooler’s development and learning. Being part of a small community offers the opportunity to participate in local excursions to the library, as well as offering incursions including visits from local community representatives, parents and grandparents.
A Day in the Life of the Kindy Room
Children thrive with routine and structure in their lives.
Through routines children can develop a sense of autonomy and self-help skills. Children begin to anticipate their daily routines and become familiar and comfortable within their patterns.
